USBC salaries
« on: May 20, 2009, 05:14:28 AM »
I was looking at financials for 2008.  It states that USBC paid out 10,750,000 in salaries?  Almost 11 million in salaries?  How many employees do they have?  Where is the breakdown of how much each one gets?

If you want more info, you need to check their 990 tax return form.  It doesn't give a total breakdown, but the one posted on the website shows the 5 highest paid employees.

You may also be able to get the tax return info from Guidestar.com, I believe.

I found info for 2007:

ROGER A. DALKIN CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
GREENDALE, WI 40.00 250,671. 25,410. 0.
JACK A. MORDINI VP - MEMBERSHIP PRODUCTS/SERVICES
NEW BERLIN, WI 40.00 208,299. 24,434. 0.
ROSEANN KUHN VP - TOURNAMENTS/EVENTS
FRANKLIN, WI 40.00 163,587. 15,033. 0.
TIMOTHY PAYNE VP - DELIVERY
WAUWATOSA, WI 40.00 131,549. 19,544. 0.
KEVIN DORNBERGER CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
GREENDALE, WI 40.00 153,650. 21,110. 0.
TOM CLARK VP - MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS
MUSKEGO, WI 40.00 117,912. 16,923. 0

That only accounts for about a million of the 11 million in salaries.

I love the 11 in a row awards. They spend more on shipping then printing off the decal and placing it on the 6x8 paper thin piece of balsa wood.

I don't mind cut backs when they are needed, and most people can understand that.

But when they joined WIBC, ABC, and YABA all into one and forgot to make cuts in employment like they said they would do because that was the whole reason to begin with. Getting away from duplicate job titles.

I knew bowling was screwed.
Plus I believe they are building and or expanding offices.

I mean Really??? Like that is needed. Really?????

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Hmmm and we wonder why bowling is going downhill!!! How many millions of memeber have we lost in the last 5 years or so.. I don't know the exact number, but I am sure someone will find it. I just know it has been on a huge decline each year! Not very good!!

Don't forget they are hurting now because what employees they did retain they paid to move to TX.  Has anyone ever seen the bill for a professional moving company to move a household 1/2 across the country?  Its not cheap.

Plus they said they had the building in WI sold, but not so.

IT would be interesting to see if the salaries increased over the past 10 years since we have much less bowlers. I would think that the increase request in dues might relate to the fact that salaries are not diminishing even though he number of members keep declining.

There hasn't been enough done to improve the game and get more interest. Obviously bowling may never be as popular as it was back in the say 60s-80s but it can still be more then it is.

I don't have an answer and I'm sure it's not a simple one, but if I were getting paid to do that I would figure something out.
