Hammer or Gargoyle
« on: November 02, 2004, 03:17:46 AM »
I need a good non-reactive urethane ball for a second shift.  The lanes are generally toast, synthetic.  I was thinking about either the pearl hammer or the slate blue gargoyle.  As of right now, I'm thinking visionary because I've never used one.  Any input would be helpful.

Stats:  I palm the ball similar to a thumbless bowler.  The main difference is I generate a little more forward roll instead side roll. speed is med/high, revs the same.

I only have the Visionary Slate Blue Gargoyle which I like a lot, but be aware that the new Red Pearl Hammer only has a pancake weightblock.  If you want a more fair comparison, look for an old Blue Pearl Hammer.

Thanks for the info.  I'd forgotten about the pancake block in the red hammer.
