Everyone's dry is different. For the dry I see, the Starburst XXXL and Storm Natural have been two of the best and most controllable dry lane balls. And I have tried many!

Columbia Wild was my all time favorite dry lane ball. Now it's a toss up between the Lane 1 Chainsaw and the MoRich Mojave.

If you are talking about complete toasted lanes, the Lane 1 XXXL is the ONLY choice.

If there is a bit of oil anywhere to be found and the lanes are spotty I suggest a good urethane ball....Storm Natural, Visionary Ogre Urethane, Lane 1 Liberator.

If it's just a light oil or short oil shot, Tropical Storm, Lane 1 Gemstone, Ebonite Tornado, Columbia Freeze with a hook set drilling.

if short or light oil, the Link and the Neptune are great for that

if there toasted, the XXXL is good but nothing beats the old Clear Wolfs or WareWolfs, ill rate them above the XXXL any day.

the 2 balls that i use for light or dryish conditions are the Lane #1 xxxl or the Lane #1 Bullet. i know these balls are hard to come by. of the current dryier lane balls the 900 Global Link is very good for dryish conditions as well as the Roto-Grip Neptune. some people here have mentioned the Storm Natural but from my experiences. it flares way to much for me making it a nice smooth medium oil ball for me.
