2-Handed Bowling, Don't Go There!!!
« on: February 07, 2004, 11:37:57 PM »
that's the first time i've ever seen a good 2 handed bowler (on the show today, kid from finland!!!!!!!!!!).  an impressive amount of action, but at 20 years old this guy already is having back problems.

if he's that good with 2 handed, and he's in the process of changing to a one handed style, i wouldn't suggest that people convert TO this style.

I used to bowl like that...25+ years ago...when I was a kid and not strong enough to hold on to the ball!  All the other kids used to make fun of me!

i'm sure there are a host of bowlers out there of the 2-handed persuasion who are excellent . . . but speaking from back pain experience, once you hurt your back for the first time, it's with you the rest of your life.  not worth the risk.

Why was he using a Big Blue? I dont think it suited his style. It had no backend, which is understandable because that's what the ball is supposed to do, but why stand at the left gutter and throw it? There was absolutely no entry angle into the pocket. He shoulda stood in the center and let the ball do it's work.
