How's This For A Personal "First"?
« on: March 13, 2012, 10:06:59 PM »
Last night in league.......279/179/280. I can honestly say I've never dropped a hundred pins, then gone up a hundred next game. Guys were coming from all across the center to look at my recap and laugh. I'm all about the entertainment.

I haven't been quite that locked in for two games, but I have shot my share of 250/150/250 type sets.

That's funny.
First night of league in 2000, I shot: 179,300,164.
The middle game I tripped the 6 pin, the last 5 balls.
Last game, the magic was gone. :)

Watching Chris Barnes a couple weeks ago when he shot his 300 on TV. He was locked. Every shot looked just like the last one. Then, his shot changed just a hair..... I had that the first game. And my line did not change all that drastically, but carry went south big time. From 11 strikes to 3, then back to 11. I never had to make a drastic move on the lanes. Ended up throwing two different balls the third game, one just on the right lane and the other just on the left. Such a minute change in the pattern can have such a dramatic effect on carry.
