Okay so tonight I went to watch a good friend of mine bowl. He was quick to tell me the shot was totally used up. He like's to say his style is like that of Pete Weber whatever. Tonight we were just talking about bowling in general about lane condition's, ball's on the market, just bowler usual topic's.
So while we were on the ball's on the market topic he mentioned the new Storm Invasion. I figured okay cool, he know's about this ball fairly well and I was curious to know more about it. So after 25 minute's of him saying how great of a ball it is and how he can't wait to buy his this weekend I said that this Invasion is similar to my Morich Awesome Finish. He immediately stop's me by saying no brand will ever compare to Storm on performance and price's. Then I said Storm is a good company but people will disagree with him, again he respond's back with "Those people probably average less then 190 and truely suck!"
Now I didn't tell him yet that I had just switched to an all storm arsenal but not because of my friend constantly saying this or that about certain ball's. I looked him in the eye's and said "Your a fricken moron saying what you did, I don't have an all storm line up yet I still average around 200!" I get this response back; "Well you'd bowl a lot better if you did have an all storm arsenal." So after he said that I told him that I had picked up a Storm Gravity Shift and a Storm Natural to go with my Storm T-Road Pearl because of how well the T-Road has been in my hand's. This ball has over 1300 game's on it, just resurfaced it and look's like I should see another 1000+ with it. After I said that to him he's all super happy and crap, then say's "Now that you have the right equipment in you're bag you can expect to see your average get better."
If I talk about anything other then storm he don't want to talk about it, soon as I say anything about storm he's cool about it. He's alway's talking about how he talked to Norm Duke, Pete Weber, Jeff Carter....PBA bowler's who use storm. I can attest to 1 story being true though. BTW, this guy used to average 200-208, he's only been averaging in the mid 180's for the last 8-10 year's now......and yet Storm is sooooo great!
