Skid Snap Ball

Hey guys,

To be short and to the point, a house I have been bowling at recently has shown me a big hole in my arsenal - a ball that gets far down the lane and snaps.  My two favorite balls are my zone classic and absolute inferno (my arsenal is a bit old, i took a few years off).  The AI is too much ball and my ZC gets started up a bit too early and has trouble carrying.

I was thinking of getting a true medium ball for the sole purpose of going long for lanes like these and when the lanes start breaking down.  I was thinking a Storm Reign.  Any other ideas?

I throw roughly 17-18 MPH with Medium-high revs.

The Reign is an option, so is the Nomad Pearl.
But you also have 900G Break Point Pear
Storm Fast if you wanna spend a little less money
Hammer Burn
Columbia Bedlam

bahshay, if your looking for true skid/snap.. the only way to go is the reign. the zone classic is easily my favorite ball of all time, and having owned a few different inferno's i know what your looking for. i would go with the reign, most skid/snap ball ive ever thrown.

Reign, Hammer Burn, or Track 505A should all give you what you need.

Ogre SS is the best in my opinion. Effortless length with nice back end pop.

ZC is my favorite ball too.  Always the first ball out of my bag.  

Thanks for all of the replys everyone.  Also, What kind of drilling should I go for?  I've never had a true skid snap ball before.  

Just for information sake, my arsenal looks like this:
Med-Med Heavy = Dulled Absolute Inferno
Med-Med Light = Zone Classic
Light = BVP Punisher - drilled for length

I want the reaction to be something to cover the mediums that can get real long when my two other mediums-range balls are starting up too early.  

PS, I know theres holes in my arsenal on both extremes, but I never saw those conditions when I bowled in HS.  Those balls covered pretty much everything I usually saw.  I'd get those filled before I started doing any tournaments, but I've been away for a few years so I'll have some time before that.

I second the Ogre SS, drill it strong and watch it move!I also own an Intense Inferno and the Ogre is even more skid/snap then my intense.plus the visionary covers hold up very well.

Would somebody mind comparing the Reign and Ogre SS for me?  They seem to be two of the favorites and cost about the same online.  Unfortunately, years of bowling at a Brunswick alley has left me pretty ignorant of the other brands.

due to the distributor having a lack of longer pin placements, i drilled mine with pin in the ring finger and kept my CG closer to center of grip to keep my weight hole options open.

due to the distributor having a lack of longer pin placements, i drilled mine with pin in the ring finger and kept the CG in to keep my weight hole options open. i used to have a radical inferno as my Skid/snap ball and i must say that the reign has more backend pop than anything ive ever thrown. also the cover is very versatile to match up for your desired reaction.

if i were you, i would find one, drill it pin above the fingers around 5in. to PAP and adjust coverstock accordingly. let me know what you think!
