As firefighters extinguished the flames, they noticed a bowling ball with what appeared to be a wick attached, according to the report.

This guy isn't the first.  A big doofus named Chet something or other, in the Detroit area, tried blowing up his home with a home made bowling ball bomb, when it was foreclosed on.

Maybe a Super Carbide Bomb from Lane #1 would have done the trick.....or perhaps an old Ebonite ball with the Bombs Down Core.
