Well it looks like many on the board are going to get their wish.

It was announced in this morning’s paper that a local bowling company JOMA is going to open an entertainment center featuring a 32 lane-bowling center and go carts. It is being built next to a large movie theatre that opened in the last year. The developers are planning on making this area an entertainment center with other restaurants and arcades to follow.

Ground breaking is soon with completion by April of next year.

Personally I don’t think I will go near the place. The movie theatre is already a mad house and I refuse to go there. And I can’t stand being around when cosmic bowling is going on. Guess I’m just an old fuddy dud.

The next you know will be lanes paying off in tickets like Skeeball machines.  Every time you strike or spare you are rewarded with a ticket.  Wait a minute that may not be such a bad idea???  HHHmmmm...

The serious bowling will be a joke.  This total entertainment center is going in a wealthy part of town to cater to dual income families that feel guilty about not spending time with their kids.  They will give their children crisp $50 bills just to give these kids the short term gratification so the whiny little brats will just shut up.  I doubt if I go very many times because I just won't be able to afford it.  Although indoor go-karts do sound tempting.
