New company in the works?
« on: March 27, 2005, 04:22:27 AM »
I can't remember where I saw this, but I read in some industry magazine about a new bowling company may be developing by next fall. If I understood it right they will produce 3 differently designed cores (low, medium, and high RGs) and allow customers to order a core with one 6 coverstocks ranging from a med/high load aggressive solid to a mild reactive pearl, all with a single price point. I personally think this would be cool. That's 18 different core/cover combos you could pick from to suit your game. That has to be some kind of investment to produce that much product though. But imagine what a potential blow to the other companies sales this would cause. What do you guys think?

Sawbones, I hardly have enough money to bowl league let alone invest, lol. I just thought this was a different concept than what every other company has to offer. My curiosity was in their price point. If they are going for a $200+ price they will fall flat on their faces because, for example, I won't pay that much for a high RG core and a mild cover. If it's around $140-150, that might stir my interest a little. Also, having Storm, Ebonite, and Brunswick as your coverstock producers, who would you go with, unless Visionary is in the mix?
