Am I the only one that's bothered by the fact that someone snagged your email from this site and registered you at another one? Someone mentioned that site to me a long time ago. There are so many bowling websites with forums these days, mine is just another one.
The odd thing is that I never knew about this website, and how popular the forums were, before going live with my site. I might have thought twice about adding my forums if I had seen this site. Of course I launched my site because I was banned from the PBA website for discussing local tournaments. I was told that if I didn't like it, to start my own website. So I did.
I've considered taking my forums down. There are only so many places people can go. But the site continues to grow, albeit it has a long way to go before it reaches BR mass.
I've decided to keep my forums only because I feel there needs to be a little variety. BR has cleaned up quite a bit (I never saw the AG Forum), whereas my site offers a little more attitude... and is geographically strong in the south/southwest. Certainly not for everyone but I think it's a viable complimentary alternative.
In the past, I've exchanged messages with Scott Scriver and we agreed we could play nicely together since there was no apparent conflict or any animosity. For those that do not know me, I am a Dyno-thane/Turbo Grips regional staff member and occasionally you will find me in the Dyno-thane Forum here. I rarely cruise the Misc Forums, but I've been asked to introduce myself here by a regular. Rather than start a new thread to draw attention to myself, I thought it would be better placed in here, where the topic is about "another forum place".
