Smooth reacting 'weaker' pearls?
« on: January 01, 2010, 10:04:39 AM »
Looking for a really smooth pearl ball to go under my C-System 2.5, to use on lighter oil and broken down shots.
Balls Im considering are Mars...Boom and Avalanche Green and black.
Love to hear suggestions..thanks

best mid-lane ball in my opinion is the hy-road just dont drill it too aggressive.
the Freeze is another great chocie... plus its cheap.
btw its tough to get a pearl ball to roll even, they are made pearl to go down the lane, if your looking to have a ball roll mid-lane you have to play around with some things... a good way to achieve this is buy shining up a matted ball thats not too aggressive like a hammer acid. or you could drill a entry level ball aggressive like a ebonite boom.
also as a company Brunswick tends to create there equipment to rolls sooner than the others... if you can find any older BVP line balls they would be good as well

I've seen Brunswick BVP Wizards for sale cheap online.  This ball rolls early and features Brunswick's famed PK18 coverstock, which takes well to surface adjustments.  Mine is drilled rico with an 800-grit polished surface.  Great THS ball for a wide variety of lane conditions... with the polish I can use it in place of a pearl ball or take the polish off and it can take the oil.

The GT1 with a weaker layout would be an option as well.

Im sorry but i have to strongly disagree with the hyroad...that ball has a very strong cover on it...coupled with a higher RG core it makes more of a move downlane than anything else I have off of the dry...and I've owned 5 of them now.
