every day it becomes harder and harder to search through the sale forum to see what people are selling and what people are looking for. with so many separate posts that contain different companies, weights, and selling types(trade/sell), i find it difficult to search for possible equipment changes and to see if people are looking for something i may be willing to get rid of. i have an idea that i think would work.
in the sale forum, a post should be started for every ball company...for example, one could be titled "Storm Balls For Sale, 14-16#" ...another could be "Storm Equipment For Sale Under 13# and Misc." ...this could be done for all the other companies people sell equipment from on the site.
When someone decides to sell something, just go to the proper category and list your sale equipment as a reply to the post. it can be done like the classifieds in the paper, rather than a 250 word description. if someone is interested, a PM can be made to get full information. the basic info can be given in a one line description of the ball...example:
16# Storm Flash Force FS(no trades please), RH used, 10 games max, excellent surface condition, $60 w/o shipping from 10314
now if anyone was interested, they could send a simple PM asking for more info(drilling specs, pics). once it is sold, the post is either modified or deleted.
with this system, it would not be hard for someone to sell 5+ balls, even from different companies, because it would be fairly easy to do a one-line description. instead of everyone bumping their posts up to the top for more views, people can go directly to what theyre looking for. i think this would make equipment easier to find, and would result in more successful transactions going around on thsi site. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS(MODIFICATIONS/AGREEMENT)...I WOULD LIKE THIS TO BECOME MORE THAN JUST AN IDEA
