Good news today...
« on: May 16, 2009, 09:06:23 AM »
Just found out today that a center 30 minutes from me is doing a league on the Kegel Patterns this summer, I signed up second I heard about it. I'm pretty excited as i've done a PBAX league once, but wasn't going to bowl league this summer until this great opportunity arose. I'm sure it'll be a struggle but i'm excited for the opportunity.

Anyone have some basic advice on the Kegel patterns, i've never bowled on them.

There are easy, medium and hard kegel patterns from what I understand.

I found a magizine with a phamplet in it with the names of various patterns.

One was called "easy street" one was called middle road. and so on........

Thanks for the link, I feel somewhat dumb for not thinking about checking online for them.

I'm pretty pumped though for this league, format is going to be 12 weeks, 4 games a week, so we get to see each pattern once. I'm hoping to keep open minded and do the best I can, i'm not expecting to crush it on the tougher ones but I enjoy a challenge. I'm going to be taking a notebook with me and write down some notes. I plan on blogging the league, but as an average joe I can't guarantee any useful nuggets of info as we only see the patterns once.

But nonetheless its always fun to get the opportunity to face a challenge.

When it comes to sport or challenge leagues it's important to have a LARGE arsenal. It's very hard to compete in these league's with 1 or 2 strike balls. Also a spare ball is a must and it may just be the most important ball you bring every week and you should try to use it on most spares.

Strikes for show and spares for dough.

Definitely, i'm not sure if you peaked at my profile but I do have my equipment listed, its not a huge arsenal but I have equipment that varies and gives me looks, I could use another real strong ball but what I have will suffice for the league, after it I may consider another orb.

And I was fortunate enough to bowl a PBX league once so I do have an idea of what to expect.
