I bowl in a singles league where we bowl 2 matches each week. We bowl a 3 game match on a pair against an opponent then switch pairs and bowl another 3 game match against a different opponent.

Several good bowlers bowl in the league including a current team USA member. This guy has been killing them this summer. Prior to last night he has bowled 2-300’s and at least 1-800.

Last night he goes 300, 269, 267 for 836 switches pairs and goes 258, 299 and I had to leave and didn’t see the finish but he was on a 279 pace thru 7 frames. I called a friend who stayed and he couldn’t remember for sure his last game or series score but thought it was around 825.

I don’t know the qualifications for a 6 game series and if this would qualify but if he shot 825 that would be 1661 for 6 games and would beat the existing record of 1659.

I’ll try and find out for sure his final score later.

I was wrong in that he is not currently on the team USA team, I thought he was maybe it was last year.

it would count for a 6 game set. we had a guy go 8 something 8 something in a similar league years age. we bowled 3 2 game matches every night. he was 4 high all time last time i looked!
