...Leland Lanes and Bama Bowl for the first time in probably 20 years.
Why is this such good news? Real wood at Leland for starters, and that place can be an absolute boneyard. They've made it a lot easier lately but there's no house in our state that can do a hard shot like that place can, IF someone puts their mind to it. Every pair has character, you basically bowl in the dark, there's no room to move around and cigarette smoke hangs like fog in that place. In other words, intimidating as heck to pampered wall babies.
I think Bama has changed out to synthetics since I left town. Regardless, this is great because it breaks the monotony of Mobile/Montgomery/Birmingham/Huntsville that has been going on now for the better part of three decades.
Any other Alabama guys in here, and bowling state this year? If so, you might be in for a challenge.
