New Synthetic Lanes

Why is it that newer synthetic lanes tend to play like heavier oiled lanes? What is the best way to combat this? Thank you

The density of the lane is very very hard, whereas wood is softer and higher friction.  SURFACE SURFACE and i'll say AGAIN SURFACE is Generally the way to go, especially on THS on synthetics unless they are really moving.

This also depends on the length of the pattern and the fact that you are speed dominate (rev rate doesnt match ball speed).  On most THS patterns, they are 36-42 feet in length.  For you, yes you will need duller surfaced balls when they are fresh.  You are going to need the help with your ball speed to get ball reaction.  Balls that you will like will be stuff like the Mutant Cell, Virtual Gravity, Jigsaw, C-System 3.5, N-Sane LEVrg Total Bedlam.  Once those become to early or too much, then balls with shinier surfaces such as a Bedlam, Virtual Energy, Magic Touch, 715A, will work just fine.
