New THS First Oil Ball
« on: October 22, 2009, 09:42:23 AM »
Hi - I seem to be running into a scoring problem with the THS first oil ball selection for game 1.  My active arsenal includes, Special Agent pin under fingers 500 Abalon, Dimension 1 pin over fingers, Dimension 2 pin over fingers, Virtual Gravity pin over fingers, Mystic pin over fingers, HyRoad pin over fingers.  I watch other players lane tracks and the big shooters seem to be some 10 boards left, approach, of me at game 1 start.  At the 16 foot range finders they are 3 boards left.  Similar break points.  They have a strong pocket carry while mine seems weak.  I leave lots of single pin spares and lots of 10's! I am more of a stroker and straight up the boards!  I am thinking about adding an Ebonite "Evolve" or Columbia "Full Swing" with a below fingers pin placement.  Possibly a lower or rougher Abalon treatment.I think I need a stronger ball so that I can move left and have some mid lane read and strong recovery!  Any thoughts!  Regards - Denny

The Full Swing is definitely going to read the midlane less than some of the balls that you already mentioned, but it might let you open up the lane more because it'll backend harder.
