Best Spray Cleaner
« on: November 06, 2006, 07:32:20 AM »
I've been reading alot of posts about ball cleaners and notice that everyone loves Track Clean n Tacky (Clean n Dull) as a deep cleaner...but what about a spray cleaner...Which do you think is the best spray cleaner to use just after a set...I've been using Track Power Wash, but I've head alot of good about Black Magic Rejuvenator...Thanks, Joe

Ditto....I agree with Robb, although I lean a little bit stronger towards the Black Magic Rejuvenator. I have some Power Wash but haven't tried it yet.

Why not buy some simple green and alcohol and make your own spray cleaner it won't replace clean and dull but for after every use its great and a whole lot cheaper

LaneMasters does a great job of removing oil and grime from the ball.  It does have a really strong odor so open the window when using it.

My driller told me to NEVER use alcohol on bowling balls. He said it clogs the pores in the ball and actually decreases the hooking ability of the ball over time.

Of course he did, how else would he be able to keep selling ball cleaner otherwise?

Alcohol clogs the pores???? Is that why it's a common agent in almost every commercial bowling ball cleanser? It evaporates almost immediately leaving no perceptible residue. What's left to clog the pores? Ever think that if this were the case that everyone that ever used STRIDEX MEDICATED PADS (which are almost 100% alcohol) would be running around with a face full of zits from clogged pores? LOL.

At 98 cents a pint versus $9 for 6 ounces of brand x commercial cleaner I could see why alcohol gets a bad rap from many pro shops. My driller uses alcohol as his main cleanser and Storm Reacta Clean for occasional thorough cleanings, as do I.

Buy it, use it and enjoy the savings.

"I actually have a theory that Stridex pads CAUSE zits. Why would they want to decrease their sales by actually clearing up those blemishes?

LOL"

Hmmm.... I wonder if they're in cahoots with the bowling ball cleaner companies.....LOL.   "Is that a zit on your Vapor Zone or just gease?"

Track power wash or Lanemasters is the best! The Lanemasters stuff smells like moonshine or something though! Powerful stuff.

I have used storms Megabite or whatever it is and, Ebonites stuff and a few others and in comparision to Tracks and Lanemasters, they do not even clean dirt of the ball! IMO, they are a joke in comparision!
