Now I'm Confused

I thought the USBC was a combination of the YABA, ABC, & WIBC members.

According to this article, there is still a WIBC.

Scroll down and it lists a bunch of WIBC tournaments.

In a transition between organizations like the WIBC and the USBC it makes sense to me that they will try to slowly change WIBC to USBC Ladies or something similar.  Not everyone is as aware of this change as we are and they likely want to avoid confusion that may cause a loss of participation in the mentioned tournaments.

According to information received at our last Women's board meeting, as of August 1st all associations, local and state, will no longer be able to distribute anything with the WIBC or ABC logos.  Associations that have completed their mergers by then, will be using the USBC logo.  Unmerged associations will use BA for the "Open" Association, formerly know as ABC and WBA for the "Women's" associations formerly know as WIBC.  So as of August 1st the WIBC and ABC will officially be put to rest.

Our association secretary commented that there will be a bestowing of WIBC awards festival in July to get rid of all out WIBC awards in stock.  No there are no honor awards in our inventory, those have always been ordered directly from National.  So you won't find me suddenly sporting a WIBC 300 ring

Our state and local awards are still okay since we are the San Fernando Valley Women's Bowling Association, a WBA and on a state level California State Women's Bowling Association, also a WBA.
