....for my team.  We won the winter league in a 2nd half comback, going undefeated for 4 months or so.  Now, this summer league, we had been in first or tied for it most of the time, so we were bound for our second consecutive league championship...........Until I went on vacation, as you all know, our team with a 3 game lead on the second place team.  I come back, and wait a minute--- we're now in second by two games!  They manage to lose 5 of 8 games, even with my prebowls (one average, the other good)......So, I think, okay, this last week is a positioning round, we can win.....Well, once again, I have another over average series, striking as much as possible in the 10th of each game (I'm anchor), but to no avail, as my team has a knack for failing under pressure situations (I call one Lonnie).  So we were swept, and lost the league.....the worst part, the team we lost to was a bunch of little kids (apparently there is no separation in the summer) with a 400+ handicap.  Ouch.  Maybe our team name (In the Gutter) was not really a little joke, but bad karma.  Who knows.

I guess there's always this season, I can call it back to back sanctioned championships......
