Open Champs. on USBC's youtube channel

Few thoughts:

There seems to be just minor differences between patterns, it looks like you could play them very similarly. The transition looks rougher on the D&S side of things though.

Shocked at the low number of people watching. I'd think that even if you aren't going it would be fun to watch, and if you are, you'd definitely want to watch as much as you can.

Matt Canizzaro kills me, I don't have a great voice for video myself, but I'm going to keep making my videos so I get it, but his voice just grates on me and the commentary is subpar. Some of the information is interesting, but I have a hard time listening sometimes. I can tell the guy does it because he loves it though, so that comes through, he just doesn't sound very comfortable on the mic yet.

All in all the presentation is very well done, I can guarantee I won't miss a single one they put up. I just wish they could get more traffic, this can't be worth the time and money and effort they put into it. Maybe it's one of those things they'll do regardless, but I like their coverage, and I hope it continues.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Matt is a friend of mine. I was fortunate enough to work in the PR department with him a few years back. He is a great man, a great bowler, and a great PR professional. He makes it his job to give each and every Open Championships bowler the same great experience. It doesn't matter whether you bowl Week 1 or the last squad of the last day; his goal is for you to have a world-class experience. As for the videos, I think they are a great feature and a great help to bowlers. Obviously, you still have to go out there and throw the ball for yourself, but seeing how the lanes play definitely gives you a concept of what it will take in order to be successful out there. It would be great to see the numbers go up, but I don't see those broadcasts going away even if the numbers are low. Matt and his staff are on on-site during the entire run of the tournament, and the equipment is in-house as well. Keep watching, and tell your fellow bowlers to do so as well!

Yeah, like I said, I can tell the guy loves the game, just hope he can calm the nerves a bit and get more comfortable because I feel like he's kind of editing out what he REALLY wants to say a lot of the time, and that can make the commentary choppy.  Sometimes he gets going and lets out some great stuff, but I understand that he also has to keep it simple for most of the viewers out there, and that IS a tough line to walk, sometimes certain concepts are hard to break down without it getting too thick.  Haha, I'm not trying to cover my ass, it's still hard to listen to sometimes, but it's definitely not because I think the guy is a moron or anything, just needs to be more confident!

I really do hope you're right, I look forward to every video they put up, and I try to get as many people as I can to support it.
