Title: No Game Breaker love?
Post by: downstroker7 on February 19, 2018, 01:37:30 PM
I’m wondering why there aren’t many reviews for the Game Breaker 3? I’ve seen maybe 3 videos. It seems like there are a dozen for other new releases. I’ve heard the Game Breaker line is great and I ordered the GB3. I hardly see anyone here post about it either. Just curious.

I think it's just kinda the norm for EBI products. They don't get the hype and social media coverage that Storm/RG get. Tommy Jones and Ronnie Russell did a full game with it I believe. Probably a pretty safe bet order though!

Ballreviews is dominated by Storm and Motiv fans. Don’t take that as an indicator of other company equipment.

I haven't been sold on it because of the stronger cover

Perhaps benchmark ball saturation already (big reason why not on my radar)?  Does look like a great piece.  Very reasonably priced as well.  Would be a good ball to build an EBI arsenal around.

I had asked Matt Gasn why no staffers pro or amateur don't do many videos for the entry price line.  Matt said....""We typically only do videos of our mid-price balls and up. "

Ebonite has less staffers than Motiv or Storm/RG so you are going to see fewer videos.

GBs are midpriced balls.

Look we all know they are riding on the GB name to sell the ball and not marketing/production dollars.

Remember, EBI staffers are under separate umbrella's, but can throw each of the other 3 brands' stuff. So they have 50 balls to choose from. The local guys get one or 2 (depending on which staff level they are on) of each release of their specific brand. Then pay staff cost for the other 3 brands. Lots to choose from and I do not think that they give bonus credits to do video reviews like Utah and Motiv.

There is the real reason why you see fewer videos from EBI amateur staffers.

EBI has been investing in good young talent. With Jakob Butturff, Matt Sanders, Andrew Anderson, and a few others coming up, EBI talent looks to be poised to be winning PBA tournaments on the regular.
