Help me put together a tourney arsenal out of what I have
« on: March 30, 2007, 09:12:13 AM »
The THS is one thing, but tourneys are entirely different.  I want to put together a 4 or 5 ball arsenal out of what I have specifically for tourneys.  Here is what I  have available:

Mean Machine

Power Machine

Pain

Doom

Absolute Inferno

Black Pearl (undrilled)
Vendetta Particle Pearl (undrilled)
14 lb Burgundy Faball Hammer (undrilled)

I bowl in the ABT Chicagoland, and normally what is out there is a heavier, flat pattern designed to hold up over a long period.  I'm not sure if I should even consider the Burgundy hammer, since it is a different weight from my other equipment.  Thoughts?  Which of these would you take to a tourney, and at what surface preps?  Which would you use for a medium heavy crown pattern THS?

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

How about this?  One of my relatives has a Black Pure Hammer that I could trade him for:

Mean Machine
Power Machine
Pain
Pure Hammer Black
