Best Aggressive, Med to Heavy Oil ball?
« on: May 06, 2005, 03:19:09 AM »
Now that I have decided on getting a top end, aggressive ball rather than an "all around" ball, (I found my Sling Blade works fine in that regard) what do you like for medium to heavy conditions?  I had been thinking the Big Deal, and I've almost decided on it, I guess I just want reassurance before I lay down the scratch for it.    I started to look at the Big Time a bit as well, and it looks like a good ball too.  Thoughts?

And I suppose I shouldn't have said "best," as we all know it's subjective.

The Xception plays very well even in heavy oil because of fresh backends. It shines in medium as well. You can't go wrong with it.

I'm sure the Big Deal would work fine although I've never actually seen anyone throw it. You should take a look at the Absolute Inferno and Arsenal Agrressive though. They would also work very well. The Big Time could be a viable option to, although I see it being more on the heavy side. There all good choices, just decide which one you like.

Will the Big Deal be usable in medium conditions, or is it really a "heavy only" ball?

Big Deal is a great heavier oil ball.  Have seen in on TV in Patrick Allen's hands and around town.

A touch stronger than the Super Charge(which IS Strong) similar in strength to Storms triple Extreme.

A more medium ball I love is the Crunch from Track others love the Freakazoid and see more in the middle the Slash.

All are a bit stronger than the Big Time which is a pearl particle!

I am definitely leaning towards the Big Deal.  I don't have anything I can throw in heavy oil right now.  My addiction doesn't want to come off my hand right.  I think I may have a pitch problem with it though, because I can't get my thumb out.  I even opened the thumb hole up so I'm practically swimming in it, but it still sticks and goes halfway down the lane with ugly spin.  I'll also talk to my Uncle this weekend, he was throwing a Big Deal, Big Time, Abs Inferno, and an Xcel.  I'll see what he thinks.

For whatever reason my coach recommends against Storm products.  He used to use them exclusively too.  I dunno, I'll have to ask him.
