Ultimate Inferno Ball Tracking
« on: May 03, 2004, 01:13:34 PM »
Im a high tracker with my Deuce, but after getting my Ultimate Inferno my track has move so that its almost parallel to my drilling, I think that its just because the ball flares so much, any surggestions as to what it maybe?

I would guess pitches.  I changed my thumb pitch from 1/8 under palm to 1/8 away.  Since I did so, I lowered my track some.  I think my axis when from 5 7/8, 1/2 up to 5 1/2, 1/2 up.  I would just check to see it this is the case.

The pitches are the same on my Deuce, I made sure of that. Anyway the track is like 4+ ichs lower.

sorry dude, 4+ inches is a ton.  A heavy core isn't going to case that much change.  Something is wrong in your delivery, it could be you or something different in how the ball is drilled.

I don't think its me because I've bowled with my Deuce and its the same as before, so it must be something to do with the balls drilling.

Mine first oil ring moved about an inch lower on my Ultimate when compared to other balls with similar layouts. I have the pin touching the ring finger with the CG stacked below (which is a moderately flaring layout for my axis coordinates. I normally track within 1/4 to 1/2" of the thumbhole on the initial ring, but not with the Ultimate. It is a big flaring ball.

I now think it was me, but the drill pattern is the Brunswick "L1" layout.
