Adrenaline is right. The majority of the No-Tap LEAGUE bowlers in our area are all well below 200 averages.
I often hear the argument that no-tap is already an advantage for the 180 or 190 bowler who is only averaging in that range because they can't shoot single pins.
Personally, I won't bowl in a no-tap tournament where "pins" are being given as handicap. I don't feel it's an accurate method. You're giving handicap for a no-tap tournament based on a regular average. My theory....give them marks....automatic strikes in certain frames based on average.
Even with that, we still have the high end bowlers screaming because the lower bowlers are getting some form of handicap. The only other solutions...two tournaments. Run one tournament for under 200 and one for over.
Again I was just curious as to how this plays out in everyone's area.
