finally had a real shot at it...
« on: December 07, 2004, 12:21:18 PM »
Tonight I actually had a real shot at making my first 800.  For whatever reason I was zoned in and everything was falling.  I went 268, 246, 268 for a solid 782 with my Rock Star.  In the last game, I left a 4 pin in the first, went next six, and then duffed a ball through the nose and luckily left a 6-10.  Struck out for 268, oh what could have been.  In each game I had 6 in a row but couldn't get the 7th.  Oh well, my first solid series and I met one of my goals for the season shooting 750+.  Oh well, enough rambling, now I just need that 8...

800's are a toughie.  You have to carry a lot for three games.  One game, no problem.  Three is tough.

But once you get your first, the next one is much easier.

Nice shootin'!

Great shooting Dan. I know the feeling of carrying for three games. The night I shot 789 my middle game was a 236 with 3 7 pins and a 10 pin leave. Although I covered all my spares that night, I needed one more single pin to go during that game to get my first 800.

I'm sure you'll have an 800 sometime in the season- keep up the good work reaching your goals!!!
