About a year ago I switched over due to a wrist injury. I''m in my 20''s, but I experience much LESS stress on my wrist, knee, and back when bowling two handed. There are some muscles that were sore when I started but that soon went away.
I average about 220-225 one handed. After a year of bowling two handed I average about 215-220.
I recently just switched back to one handed and am giving it a go... hopefully the wrist holds up.
Here are some of my pros and cons
Pros
More Speed
More Revs
Ability to open up lane
Strike percentage
Less Pain
Ability to play lines nobody else ca
Cons
Accuracy
Fighting VERY DRY tournament conditions
VERY TIGHT patterns
Very CLEAN backends
Versatility
FINDING HELP WHEN YOU ARE BOWLING BAD!!!!!
After bowling two handed, I really understand that guys like Belmonte and Osku are FRICKIN GOOD BOWLERS. It takes a lot more than revs to score on PBA patterns...
Hope this helps, good luck if you do switch
