I went bowling yesterday and did horrible. But I discovered something very important. At some points, I kind of felt like I was "dropping" the ball, even though i wasn't. But, although I had a low axis tilt when i did that, my ball hooked more than what I normally do, which i thought was just a normal, high tracking shot. I assume this means most of the time my thumb stays in the ball, and I "thumb" it (like someone posted yesterday). Now, if i could work with this to get my thumb out quickly, and get my track back up, I'll be going somewhere. Another reason i think this, is because i tried it with two fingers (no thumb to interfere) and i got a smooth release with a lot of revs, with the release I normally do with the thumb in. i know the two finger thing does that, but the rev difference and smoothness was way different, backing up my "theory".
Next time I'm at league practice, I'll have BK watch me and figure out when to release. Hear that boy?
