Title: not AGAIN
Post by: matt smith on May 17, 2004, 05:17:34 PM
I thought i was going to break the drought since my first 300 tonight, but instead I broke the drought since my last 299 . I left a 2 pin AGAIN! What makes it worse is that I didnt feel like I bowled a bad shot. Seen as last time i had front 11 i shot 299 with a 2 pin i said to myself before the shot, stay slow, dont push it wide. So I hit my mark, stayed slow, kept the revs up, AND LEFT A 2 PIN! ARGH!

Everyone in the league said to me that they have no idea why the ball just didnt turn as much, cause it looked a carbon copy of the previous shot. Any ideas what I might have done wrong so I know for next time? I thought i learned my lesson last time, obviously not!

good luck and high scoring
matt

More than likely you simply missed it at the bottom. Slightly less rev or bower created torq off the hand. It happens to me alot.

For many a year my Dad always told me,..If ya get the front 11, look one board right cause it's natural to tug it a little",..I did that for years, and it still runs through my head every time I get close...

I assume that you hit light and that with the adrenaline in your system you simply threw the ball a little faster and past its normal breakpoint.

I wouldn’t try to throw slower, I would just go with it, if it is your normal tendency under pressure to throw harder. Move ½ to one board right and let it rip.
