I've always said If  " I " won the megamillions or say the powerball, since its now in michigan too.  If the cash option was big enough, I'd just buy a bowling alley.  And then hold my own WSOB events, that pay out like 200k for first place.

Dave, here is the cost breakdown  to built a new bowling center.Twenty -four lanes.

.What is the average population-to-lane ratio   needed to financially support a bowling center?
Typically 1,500 - 2,000 people per lane are needed to support a bowling center. The total market population divided by the number of effective bowling lanes in that market equals the population-to-lane ratio.

What are the approximate land requirements?
Including the building and parking, 8-10 lanes can typically be built on one acre of property.
Example: A 24-lane center would require a minimum of 3 acres of land.
What is the approximate land cost?

Depending upon geographic location, land costs can range from $6,000 - $20,000 per lane
     What about zoning and permits?
Zoning and permits are project specific.
How much does it cost to prepare a site?
There are many variables that impact site preparation costs, such as local building codes, environmental impact fees, drainage, and site topography. Therefore, site preparation costs are site and project specific, and cannot be estimated here.
What are the approximate architectural fees?
Architectural fees usually range from $3,000 - $7,500 per lane.
What about building size?
Typically, 1,000 – 1,200 square feet per lane is needed. Size is dependent upon the type of facility (bowling only, family entertainment center, recreation complex.)
What is the approximate building cost?
$50 - $60 per square feet
Example: or a 24-lane center, the building cost would range from $1.2 million - $1.7 million
What is the approximate cost of bowling equipment?
Brunswick bowling equipment packages range from $25,000 - $55,000 per lane (all new equipment, installed, including training, warranty and initial bowling supplies). Pricing does not include freight or applicable taxes.
Example: Bowling equipment for a 24-lane center would range from $600,000 - $1,230,000.
What is the approximate cost of furniture, fixtures, and non-bowling equipment?
Furniture, fixtures and equipment range from $3,000 - $10,000 per lane, depending upon the size and type of facility.
How much initial operating cash and inventory will I need?
$3,000 - $5,000 per lane is typically required.
Overall, what is the approximate total cost to build and equip a new bowling center?
$90,000 - $169,500 per lane.
Example: The total cost of building a new 24-lane bowling center can range from $2.2 million - $4.1 million.
What is the typical equity position needed to undertake building a family bowling entertainment center?
Generally, an equity position of 30% is needed by local lenders to proceed with most projects of this type.
What is my ROI on a bowling center investment?
ROI is typically 15 – 25% but will vary depending upon equity position, debt structure, etc.

You will also save on employees once the Dem's give us an Immigration bill as sweet as the Healthcare package. They'll probably have the National Guard truck in migrant workers so you can pay them $5 per day - as long as you remember to contribute to their campaigns.
