Haugen vs Duke (?)
« on: December 02, 2004, 06:01:49 AM »
Depending on the outcome of game seven Ratboy might end up bowling Duke in the next round (the alternative is Miller).  I think it would be very interesting to see that match.  Pattern D supposedly can be played a variety of ways.  Haugen will almost certainly play it straight.  Duke will play it ??????  If both go straight it could be very interesting.  Might almost look like a match out of the 60's, except both will most likely play it off the corner.

I'd like to see Haugen on TV this week.  Such an interesting guy.  Nothing rattles him and his confidence in himself and his decisions is incredible.  I met him in Omaha with some friends I bowl with, and their daughter asked if he'd come down to Topeka between the Omaha and KC stops, and he did.  Practiced a little, we all went to supper afterwards, just kinda hung out.  What other pro do you know would do that unless you already knew them?  And for the disbelievers, he can play inside 4th arrow.  Wish I could have made it down to Wichita this year, like to watch him bowl.

Well, it's going to be Duke vs Haugen.  Man, I'd love to see this match.

HamPPPPster, i've dealt with Mike on some ball deals.  Seems like a really cool dude.  Hmmm, I may need to get back in touch now that he's using 'Saws again.
