a good ball??
« on: March 21, 2005, 09:55:24 AM »
i looked at my arsenal...and i noticed that i have nothing that is a dull resin.......i got lots of particle, dull and pearl, and i have 2 pearlised resin. I want a dull resin ball that would be good for more of the med-med heavy. Any company would work. I dont want something that is soooo strong though (meanin i dont want like the vertigo) All of your inputs would be greatly apreachiated.

Depending on what company you prefer or match up better to, check out the...

Brunswick: Nemesis
Storm: Atomic Charge
Track: Slash

Those are the dull resins that would work well for med-med/heavy.  Most dull balls are heavy-oil monsters.

i would say go with the hammer high rev but then again im partial to it being that is my benchmark ball out of the bag and like what the company slogan says..."nothing hits like a hammer"...but then again most resin balls will works it just a matter of drilling it right with regards to pin position and where to place the cg and mass biass...

just out of curiosity what kind of reaction are you looking for anyways playing in that condition?...

No, they are quite different.  "Solid" has to do with the chemical composition of the ball.  Pearlized balls are solid, but have an additive put in them to make them go longer/break harder.  You can have a polished solid and a dull pearl.  I used to think the same thing, and when the UI came out, I couldn't understand why brunswick would make just a dull version of the inferno.  But, I learned the differences.

Ryan - you seem to like Hammer stuff, have you looked at the Hammer Blade?

well, yes i have looked at the hhammer blades since i own 3 of them, sharp, saw, and origional pearl. I know the yellow/green blade reactive is a great ball, but i want to stray away from that hammer core, try new things. The blade series are great, but i really want higher preformance. Anyway, if i wanted to i could probobly get a blade reactive for free, but i really want something else. Anyway, lots of people here have recomended to me the atomic charge, and that is prob going to be my choice.

Nobody mentioned it but the Columbia Messenger Ti/Traction is a reactive ball for medium to med-heavy oil. Just my 2 cents.
