Oil machine Question
« on: September 28, 2003, 05:32:43 PM »
To those who know,....

I'm a novice when it comes to oil machines and how they work.....is there water involved ?? If so, how so ?

In my "don't drink the water" post, I paraphrased a comment from the laneman where he said the proprietor was having a leaking problem with his machine, and I could have sworn he said it was a water problem. (too many beers at that point,...I had to ease my pain a bit ! )

Can anyone shed some light ?

Thanks!

When I used to do the lanes, there was no water involved in oiling the oiling machine. The only water was from the stripping machine that I used prior to oiling the lanes.

Now-a-days, the oiler and stripping machine are one in the same.  I could see where maybe water/cleaner may be leaking from the nozzles and onto the lanes when the machine is coming back toward the foul line.  This could be nasty to say the least.
