reactive solid vs reactive pearl
« on: July 26, 2004, 07:28:26 PM »
I need something that pushes long down the lane.  I have two solid resin balls that I am not currently using.

#1--Ebonite Werewolf--pin above bridge, cg in palm

#2--Ebonite 8 ball--fully plugged ready to drill

I was thinking about picking up a Power Groove pearl.  If I drilled one of the above balls with the pin in the track wouldn't it be just as good?

KOTM--What do you think of a PG reactive with the pin above middle finger?

KOTM, check your messages.  I have a similar question but didn't want to hijack Andrew's thread (other than this ).

Hey Andrew,

From my experience w/pin over mid finger(various rg's and covers), it really pulls up quick and stabilizes the backend.  It created a very smooth overall look and it looked nice on flying backends or O/U shots.  The only trick I see on the PG in true dry is to get it far enough down the lane to help store some finish or it might quit on you a little.  You have pretty good speed though, it might not be bad.  Let me know if I can be of some help to what we discussed before bud...

IMHO, the tradeoff for controlling the backends is not having the right room down the lane.  One last thing, it also might make you clip the fingers or thumb.  Hope this helps some...
