Title: OK, here is my Rant of the Day
Post by: The Hose on January 22, 2004, 08:12:46 PM
Owners who let people keep their balls at the center.

I don't know about your house but mine is a small 16 lane center where they have plenty of lockers.  They only charge 10.00 a year for a locker that will hold three balls plus shoes.  Why do centers let people keep their stuff laying around?  They are all over the place, on top of lockers, in the corners and even along side lanes 1 and 16.

If I was the owner, I'd make sure that I had plenty of lockers and put up a sign that says, any bags left at the center will be taken to the "Bowling Bag Pound" and you can retrieve them for 5 bucks a bag.

Bowlers are just too lazy to take their bags out to their car night after night or are too cheap to spend the money on a locker.

If everyone took their bags home, there would be room for bowlers to bring their stuff in the bowlers area.  As it is, bags are all over the play and during league, you have about a 4 foot area to walk around without having to step over bags.

Thanks for reading my "Rant of the Day"

Damn, they charge $22.00 for lockers at my place. But people acutally pay that and use them, no bags hanging around here.

In NY, we are paying 40 p/yr per locker, some people
have more than one locker.  No ball or bags are allowid
to be stored anywhere other than locker, I tried hiding
a ball I was not sure I was finished with(new equipment,
sentamental attachement to old) and it was taken. Our approaches
and lane conditions are a mess, but the locker situation is
clean. FYI:  there is an approx. 2 yr waiting list for lockers.

In my home center, too!

In fact, some of the lockers were broken into a few months ago. Since the house was being remodeled, and had temporarily pulled down the "not responsible for contents" sign, the locker owners made the center replace the contents...

Dang out here if stuff was laying around, it would be stolen. LOL

Exactly,

People in NJ will watch you put your bags down and then pick them up when you turn your head away.

where do you bowl?  I'm always looking for some cheap equipment!  I can sell the rest on ebay!

That boggles my mind, everyhouse i've been too, plenty of lockers, heavily used.  10 bucks a locker is pretty darn good.

My home center charges $24 per year for a locker and they do post a note that any equipment left around will be removed....become the property of the center.  There are no more bags, balls, etc left lying around and there is a waiting list for lockers.
