For a good while to me it's been Storm. For every good ball they make a horrible ball comes in next. Their shift series balls are prime examples of coming out with coverstocks that last as long as a head of iceberg lettuce in the icebox.

lol, i guess storm is the only company that makes a ball here or there that doesnt match up with EVERY bowler. ive been bowling almost 20 years now bro, and used almost every company out there and i can tell you NO company in the history of bowling produces a ball EVERY time that will match up for everybody. one mans trash is another mans treasure. i had the original sapphire blue zone when it first came out and loved it so much i bought the speed zone when it came out but hated it. gave it to friend of mine and he shot his first 800 series with it. to this day i never say the speed zone was trash, it just didnt work for me.

your comment about storms coverstocks is way off base too. evidently you dont throw ebonite because i have a friend who has more schedlued oil changes for his nvd then i do my car lol. mean while i have on original eraser with at least 1000 games on it and still rolls just as good as the day i drilled it. i keep my covers cleaned and resurfaced every few weeks. ive never had a storm ball die.

There is a big difference between an Eraser(a fairly weak ball) and an NVD (a very strong ball) He was right on line with the original shift. Mine and 2 of my friends Shift lasted about a month and nothing could bring it back. Ball was a great ball at first though. An Eraser isn't going to be soaking the oil that a bigger hooking ball will thats just common sense so to comparing it to a NVD is an unfair comparison. Working in a proshop, I have more people coming in complaining about their Virtual Gravity not hooking anymore than any other ball.

To be fair, my Gravity Shift (pearlized version of the Virtual Gravity) has hundreds of games on it, has been plugged and redrilled twice, has been sanded, polished, sanded again, etc. too many times to count, and still performs like brand new.  I've only done one oil extraction on it, and don't clean it nearly as often as I should.

ive had a virtual gravity for about two months now and its normally the first ball outta my bag since i polished it, got at least 100 games on it about now and still hits and rolls just as good as the day i bought it. i clean it after every series and freshen up the cover when it gets dirty, and i havent had to schedule an oil change like my friends do for their ebo stuff so yeah, im pretty pleased with it. it doesnt mean the nvd is a bad ball at all so pull your panties out your rear and settle down. the comment was made about storm coverstocks not lasting, thats why i brought up the eraser different cover stock yes but its still rolling great just like when i bought it because i take care of my stuff, THAT was the point i was trying to make. oh yeah ive got an original paradigm too thats got at least 300+ games and thats a conservative estimate and it rolls great too. havent had the oil changed in it yet cause its never died. you people get so pissed over nothing lol.

in my opinion everyone thinks a company they dont match up with or like is overrated when the fact remains that every company makes good equipment(to a extent) its just a matter of the users for me hammer don't work for me is it overrated no, now is a ball overrated rarely, i'll be the first to admit i've called a ball over hyped or overrated but very few balls across the board have yet ot live up to the hype for every bowling style. the fact that people want to argue about equipment they havn't thrown is B.S. if ya don't know more than word of mouth than keep your opinion to yourself. if you've had a bad experience with a ball it may be the layou, lanes ,you and all that but most of the time it aint the ball. if this pisses people off so be it thats my 2 cents and i'm tired of hearing people slam other balls and companies cause yeah it aint for you but for another guy your stuff aint for him so it goes both ways so deal with it
