Ok lets see here

Ok this has to do with the plastic ball tourney.

1st lane one comes out with the XXXL and advertised it as plastic with a
real core.

2nd all the Lane #1 bashers came out of the woodwork.
"You guys are nuts I will NOT pay $125 for a plastic ball"
"There cannot be that much difference."
"There is NO WAY a plastic ball can hit that hard."

3rd Now all these lane #1 bashers are bawling and whining
because they want the XXXL banned from tourney play at this
particular tournament. WHY????? BECAUSE IT IS A PROVEN FACT
that the XXXL hits harder than any plastic ball ever made.

When the hell are these guys going to get a job and quit
bashing us that are willing to pay a SMALL SMALL premium
for balls that are AT LEAST 2 times as good as the same line
of stuff from other companies. That would put Lane #1 C core
at the same level as the Xfactors and the bomb core at something still
in development for the next ball O' the month manufacturer to bring out only to discontinue a month and a half later when "something SPECATULAR"  comes out of
so and so's R&D projects......

Buzzhead--First of all, I didn't bash Lane #1 in Gene's tourney thread.  I said that
quote:
I see a lot of bowlers going out and purchasing XXXL's. To bad it was a good idea until you allowed that type of core in anything plastic
The keyword here is ANYTHING not just XXXL's.

Gene's tourney was supposed to be "Old School".  What is old school about XXXL's, Clear Wolves, Clear Goygoyle's or any of the clear platic balls with higher tech cores?  It's NOT old school in my mind.

This tourney, I though was supposed to level the playing field.  By allowing these kinds of balls you aren't ALL playing on a level field.  Even if Gene did want to not make anyone purchase a bowling ball...I can't buy it.  3 piece plastic can be had anywhere for a very reasonable price.  Most have them now as spare balls.

I like Lane #1 products and have used a Purple in the past.  It's NOT just the XXXL but all plastic with higher tech cores....your carry will improve.  JMHO.

Scott, was not bashing you. The only way to do an old school tourney is to have the SAME plastic ball and have it drilled there.
