New Electronic Scoring System
« on: November 22, 2003, 01:53:18 AM »
The bowling alley finally was able to place electronic scoring system this past week. The system keeps track of total pin fall differently than the old system. This is the difference:

Someone starts a game with 7 strikes in a row.

Old System: 180 would be added to team total (Hope my math is correct)
New System: 0 to team total.

It will take some time getting use to this.
Is this a good concept of scoring?

Talkin' Trash!

What system is this.  Never heard fo doing it that way.  Someone hasn't set the program up correctly.

No it's not good.  If it isn't totaling pinfall on strings of strikes, it also isn't totaling up spares.  It will be extremely difficult to keep track of how the team is doing.

In this case, if someone shoots 300, team totals may be close until the 10th frame when all of a sudden 300 pins is added to the total.
