okay... How many balls do you really have?

I got to thinking, I've got enough balls to take a small ethiopian army bowling. Actually I have 12. Super Carbide bomb, XXXcel, Xcel, Xcel pearl, BVP punisher, BVP Goliath, Blazing Inferno, Storm X-factor Vertigo, Untamed Animal, Bionic Zone, big deal, and the real deal. Come to think of it, it may be 13, I feel like I'm leaving something out...LOL... Anyway, I find that depending on where I'm going, I take different ones. My point, I take so much grief from my girlfriend, you know, "How many balls do you need" and blah blah blah...LOL... I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem...

Hell I thought I was bad for having what I have..lol So far I have 10 but am looking to add 2 more in the very near future.

i use an alter ego and a scout reactive but im planning on getting a full throttle. i just dont have the money  yet

Sir Ashley,

Just to make you feel better.....I have 40. And no, I'm not gonna list them all! They all play a part in my development as a bowler. Any savvy experienced bowler could come in and look at my racks, and probably tell you exactly how I progressed in my development and what kinds of houses I have bowled in, based on the various balls I have.

I usually weed them out, once I pass 25. But haven't done it in a while. I have one rack of 25 balls that I use pretty regularly. Especially when I do tournaments, that hit you with the unexpected!!

I got 8, most get regular use in league as I rotate stuff in and out of the bag.  I should be picking up a few new pieces before next season.  I don't buy much equipment, too expensive, and I know I wouldn't use 75% of my stuff if I had 20 or more balls.  You guys are crazy.

Well, when the 5 I bought from D Pat show up tomorrow, I'll have 21!

Of those 21, I have:
6 drilled for me that I use depending on my mood and where I'm bowling.
5 NIB that are too heavy for me.  
5 used that will need to be plugged to change span (the ones from D Pat).
3 are drilled for me, but are now too heavy.  
2 are NIB and waiting to be drilled (probably for the fall season).

Probably going to shuffle around with it over the summer... and you asked about the grief with the girlfriend part of your query. 6 months ago I had this discussion with my wife, and I asked her why she had so many purses and shoes. When she explained to me the need based on weather and different outfits matching with different shoes/purses, I related a similar tale for the bowling balls to different houses and lane conditions. I hear no more arguements regarding my bowling equipment.
