Some of you are parents, been through the rigors of watching a young one grow up.
Some of you younger ones, say in their 20's can remember what it was like to be young and coming up.
How about some things you learned as a youngster to encourage the lurking teens.
My son wasn't lucky enough to live near some big name pro's for help.
Parker told us he was lucky to grow up in Jersey area and got great advice from some of those local guys.
College was out, he has a mild learning disability. He wasted a year off of bowling, and $8,000 at a dumb computer tech school to try and learn something worth while!! SO he missed the college circuit, we don't know anything about that or the JBT's.
Everyone should have a fall back plan if they can't succeed at bowling.
If you or your kid was in their early teens and serious, what would your advice be to them?
I've always felt a woman should be able to bowl as well as any man. I wish I had the money, I'd invest in some of the local young gals who have what it takes to do just that!!!!
I've always bowled with a 16 pound ball until last year. I've had folks watching me, who didn't know me tell me I needed a heavier ball!! I'd laugh and say, they don't make them any heavier. I did get better pin reaction and more strikes than most the women I bowled with, but I can't focus enough to spare!!!
With the new technology a 15 pound ball does better than the old balls. Gives some of these women more of a shot. I'd love to see a woman on the National's on TV!
Look out fellas, it's going to happen!!
