I have been on this site for about 6 months and love it. There are alot of good people with alot of bowling knowledge, etc. I come here everyday to see whats new. The site is all good except when something like this happens..
I agreed to purchase a 3 ball Track roller from another user last Friday, sent off the postal money order for $75 and he replied last Monday saying he received payment and would ship the bag last Tuesday. I responded saying thanks and could he please send my the Fed Ex tracking number after he ships it.
Tuesday came and went and nothing from him at all. Common courtesy warrants at least a short email or message telling me he got busy and couldn't ship, whatever, just something letting me know whats going on.
Finally on Wednesday night he reponds to my email of 2 days ago and states the bag is going to cost $20 to ship and he neesd to buy a $10 box, so unless he finds a cheaper way to do all this, he is just gonna send me my money back. NOTE: Now I had told him $15 was plenty for shipping a 3 ball roller via Fed Ex ground. I know because I have shippeed 2 others in the past month in the cont US for less than $15 each.
At this pint I told him to just send my uncashed postal money order back and forget about the whole deal. At this point, I wasn't feeling very good about this whole thing. He also gave me a bogus phone number.
That user has still not replied to my emails or messages about this matter and I know he has been online answering other users and posting new things for sale.
This whole thing is very frustrating. Being able to buy and trade on this board was one of the things I really enjoyed, but this instance has changed my mind on all of that. Why can't people just do the right thing and do what they say they are gonna do and follow theu with deals and answer emails in a timely manner.
I have ask him to respond today again, just like I did yesterday and if he doesn't repond today, I will post his user name so everyone can see how he does business. I will also file mail fraud charges on him as I sent a postal money order payable to him and have not received the promised goods in return.
Anyone have any ideas?? I just want my $75 back at this point. We really need to come up with some sort of rating/feedback system like Ebay has.
