Old Men at Bowling Alleys
« on: May 22, 2004, 09:18:36 AM »
The only way that this is related to bowling is the setting.  I have found out tonight that when one is approached by old men in local bowling alleys, it is often a bad sign.  This has come about due to the fact that tonight, I spent 1 1/2 hours listening to an old man talk about stuff I didnt give a frig about.  If anyone knows of any good ways to get rid of old men in bowling alleys, I would greatly appreciate it if they would tell me. Thank you, Klugh.

Introduce them to a YOUNGer LADY.   Or an OLD lady.  Depends on THEIR taste, but most old men LIKE attention from a younger woman.

have a friend start working the desk at the alley and have him turn up the music really loud they'll start compaining and eventually leave...and your friend will be fired....so the effect is very short.

That was me who was talking to you. I am sorry for making you feel uncomfortable, but I recognized you from that picture in the newspaper about the latest gay marriage, and I wanted to see if that person with you was actually a female or possibly your better half dressed in drag.

Klough .. at  15 year old .. I don't know what you consider OLD! I was 19 in the Marines and thought the Sgt. who was 25 was ancient. Now, being a Senior I'm thinking some folks at 50+ are young guys! But .. I can see your point .. the only answer I have for your problem is .. to keep going in the opposite direction. I can understand you NOT wanting to be RUDE .. but you have your own life and don't have to entertain an OLDER individual. Just keep NOT BEING AVAILABLE for conversation .. the other person will get the point!

Some of the best tips I ever got on my game were from an old man who is now disabled.  He was a player back in the 50's and 60's and now has a hard time walking.  He hasn't bowled since the mid 1970's but he's got the best advice.  He just hangs out at the bowling centers here and watches the action or lack there of depending on the night.  Listen to him kid.  May turn out to be good stuff that he has to offer.
