On my way to Akron....

to bowl the PTQ at Riviera Lanes. I'll post my thoughts and comments on the day later tonight when I get home. Feel free to watch for updates on PBA.com. Wish me luck, and please, don't be TOO harsh.

Proof that Pattern E isn't a cakewalk.  I hope he rebounds but I'll be interested to see what his thoughts were on the shot.  Every br member that thinks pattern E is a joke should take notice.

What has that got to do with anything?, they have only shot 2 games so far. Regardless of how Rev-o does in this PTQ, it doesnt take away from his other accomplishments. I'd really like to see how some others here in BR would do, myself included.

i don't mean to be the jerk here, but something inside told me something like this could happen.  Part of it i would say is that he's not used to these patterns obviously, but you gota see the people who are striking and try to get where they are.  Good luck the rest of the games.

Obviously Pattern E is the easier of the patterns but its still a PBA pattern and not a THS. It still only 2 games into it. I think he will rebound and do well although he is gonna have to dig himself out of this hole.

Well he's over 200 out with 6 to go, so chances are slim to none.  He does seem to strike at will in league so i guess if he can match up sometime soon he could shoot some big numbers.

I bowled in a PTQ this year (Pattern C).

It is a completely different atmosphere than you are use to. The pace is slow and you switch lanes every game. And if you don’t have the right roll you can look silly regardless of how well you are repeating shots.

I think in any respectable tournament you switch lanes every game.  I don't think that's the problem.
