On my way to Akron....
« on: February 08, 2005, 10:38:06 PM »
to bowl the PTQ at Riviera Lanes. I'll post my thoughts and comments on the day later tonight when I get home. Feel free to watch for updates on PBA.com. Wish me luck, and please, don't be TOO harsh.

Some of  you guys just amaze me.  While he is not doing well at all, at least he is bowling.  Give the guy a break.  He tried and didn't succeed very well so far.  I am sure he will learn something from the experience and be more prepared in the future.  I know I sure did in my first regional last year.

styguy, he is bowling the PTQ, Pro Tour Qualifier.  Check the pba website for details.  Only top 4 and high amateur make it to the round of 64, which is 14 games of qualifying to make it to round of 32 matchplay.

Well, I could sit here at my desk, away from the lanes, and mock the guy for not doing well - but why?  He's obviously better than I am on a house condition, and I have never attempted what he's trying to do, so who would I be to talk?  I admire him for trying, and hope he learns from this and has great success in the future.  Besides, how many people have ever succeeded at anything without failing a time or two first?

206 game 4, keep it up!  He can still have a strong showing, maybe this will give him some confidence for the back stretch.

please everybody take a second to read what i am about to write...although my english is not very good
if u consider bowling a sport u must agree with me that u play a sport ina  different variety of conditions...for example in tennis we on argentina got a player gaston gaudio and he is like the number 25 in the world but when it comes to play on slow conditions he is one of the bests in the worls..in fact he is the last roland garros champion...but when he goes to play on hard conditions he always got beatten on earlier rounds....thats why rogere federer is the best player in the worls...because he can play on every condition
well the same its a bout bowling...we have pba,fiq,house,abc...a lot of conditions...rev-o is a really great player when it comes to a house shot...but right now he can not handle pba condition...that means he is not a good player...no...that means gaston gaudio is not  a good tennis player of course not...he plays really well in some kind of conditions
i bowl a lot of international tournaments against nathan bohr, tore torgesse, mika koivinuemi...and i have beat they in a lot of tournamnets...that means im a better bowler than they...of course dont i just play THAT CONDITION better than they on THAT  tournament

I totally agree.  And I applaud Rev-O for attempting to broaden his horizons.  This could, no matter what bagger ends up saying, be the start of a transition from house bowler to touring pro.  I hope this is the case.  Keep up the good work Rev!

what's up over there? was it deleted b4 i got a chance to read it. you guys really kill me. i support everyone and everything in bowling, and this is how you treat someone because they have a bad day. i see that most of you that are so "critical" of me and my bad day didn't bowl today. why is that??? I learned alot today, and I WILL be better prepared for next time.
