Funny story
« on: August 05, 2010, 01:14:23 PM »
I was eating at one of the bowling centers up in the more north central region of WI with my girl friend tonight. Their is gonna be a league meeting and some of the bowlers are showing up and mingling in the bar before the meeting. I am listening to their conversations and really have no desire to interact but two comments almost made me shot soda out my nose.

Guy is sitting talking about league rules and format. He claims that they need fewer position rounds, He also stats that last year they had nine position rounds, Silence regins the bar for a minute. He Moves on and says that they should change the rule about the starting average, He says everyone should start with a 150 average the first week of bowling. This comment made me stop stuffing my face and take a few breaths and try not to laugh.

I dont know about you guys but I have never heard of a league where you start with a average other than zero, and I never have heard of having nine position rounds in one season. What made this funny was that their was no sarcasm in his voice he sounded deadpan.

I got a charge out of it, thought I would share it.
