I was on Ebay today because I had placed a bid on a used Pure Hammer ball. (Underline the word used.) I checked it today, and 2 guys got into a bidding war, and it is now at $305.00! I thought it might have been a typo by someone, so I looked back through the bids, and sure enough, it is the real thing. Crazy.
One question I have, (and I am sure it has been covered, I just missed it), is what makes a ball considered a high-performance ball as opposed to the mid-performance? Is it the amount of hook? The core / coverstock? I put a lot of turn on a ball, and I have had the best matchup for me using "mid-performance" bowling balls. I have purchased a couple of "high performance" balls, but for the conditions I get to bowl on, (not a ton of oil), I never get to use them.
Just wanted to get the knowledgeable folks on this site's opinion. Thank you, and if someone has asked this 100 times already, I apologize.
