Hands down:
Earl Anthony. Simply a machine on the lanes. A style that can be used even today with success. Accuracy and letting the ball do the work. No physical stress on the arm, wrist, forearm, etc.

PDW. Didn't watch bowling much when the older guys were playing.
Too all of the guys questioning, "Why not so & so?.." The question was asked for our favorite. Just because PDW is my favorite, doesn't mean I don't think WRW, Norm & others aren't great bowlers & not fun to watch....

I know no one will say this, but I enjoyed watching George Branham III. He was the first "physically fit" bowler I saw on TV and I was amazed at how well he threw the ball. Before Tiger Woods made being buff work for golf, George did the same for bowling. Unfortunately, it didn't get the same following and now we are still a sport viewed as not being phyical.

I am not a pro-bowler, but I do play one on BallReviews.com

He is a great bowler, I think?
I don't watch the telecast, unless someone I know (or from BR makes TV).

Yeah, he is, but given the small sampling of answers already given, his name not being mentioned is no great tragedy...
-
Dave Husted. I liked his game and versatility. He could play anywhere on the lane.
Currently, I probably enjoy watching Duke the most. I like the guys who aren't one dimensional and can play anywhere from up the gutter to deep inside.
-
I cant imagine how I can choose just one.
The list is endless... Maybe Earl not so much for his bowling ability... but for a demonstration he did in Germany in 76... I learned so much from is dialog. I was 16
-
I always liked watching Del Ballard Jr., he just had a look when he got on the approach.
