What do you believe you can AVG....
I know each house is different but if you truly look inside yourself what do you think you can avg in league play...

Notice the word AVG because we all have bad games ....

I looked inside and can avg 207 and that is in the middle of nowhere..

I average 220+ and I don't practice. If I dedicate myself to actually getting better and focusing more in league, I'm sure I can get to 240. Can't get there bowling 1 night a week though and hardly practicing. I bowl mainly tourneys though.

Same. 220 + bowling one day a week. Closer to 230 if I bowled more. Job/wife doesn't allow for it and it is difficult to bowl as many tournaments as I would like. If I had a job with weekends off then I think 230 would be very obtainable.

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Average is such a subjective thing as some people bowl in much easier and higher scoring houses than other folks do..

Right there with you kid. I plan next season really focusing on bowling as I'll have more time and money to bowl the things I want. With the amount of time I put in compared to all the top level competitors around here, I'm still competing with them in everything and cashing so I think if I really dedicate myself, I think, I know I can really dominate around. My priorities have been on my kids and family the past 5 years and finally paid off so I can dedicate fully and maybe make bowling a second income, a solid income at that.

Honestly, probably 215.  House was easier this year, so I think my 228 (Tue) and my 220 (Fri) AVGs are probably my career peak.  At 60+ old age, fatigue and bad knees are causing me to face reaality.  If they toughen up the shot a little, I will be back to my 215 AVG of last year.  Thought I had a fix for my PBA shot.  Avg 192 for first 2 weeks, but got on a bad pair and am now back to my PBA yearbook of 179.

235ish.  I had a composite of 229 between 3 leagues a couple years ago, but it was showing up and drinking and bowling, haven't practiced in years.  My mistakes are mostly lack of focus mistakes, when you've got 5 or 6 boards to aim at, it's hard for me to zone in and really bear down when it feels almost harder to miss than it does to put it in the pocket.  I'm a lot smarter now and my physical game is a lot better.  Carry is rough in one house and the other house's lanes are burnt up, so the shot transitions really fast, so 235 is about as high as I think I could get here.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

I believe I can AVG. around 200. Current average is 180. Currently using a new ball that I really like. This is probably for the average house pattern. I am in one league a week. More practice will increase your average.

its not what you believe you can avg its what you avg. i mean no one is gonna say they can avg exactly what they avg there will always be some reason why the can avg higher i booked 224 last yr i bowled one league and didnt practice other thanthe 10 minutes before league started would i have averaged higher if i practiced or bowled more leagues maybe but you never know it can go both ways i could avg less from burn out or more chances to get frustrated or anything like that.

Impending Doom gets the Award for best post on this topic. We could use a few yuks around here from time to time.

I recently topped out at 192 and have been in the 185-190 range for most of my "career" on the lanes. Always a + spare shooter, I never developed the 1st ball consistency that you need to average 200 +. I have a few balls in my arsenal, but right now, I have been using The Columbia Freeze (original). It is your basic blue collar bowling ball---not flashy, but you can throw it all night on most house patterns.

Bowling is such a great sport. I love watching it on television or in person as much as participating.

220+.....right now it's 204.....after a 5 year layoff.  Had a teammate that averaged 240 for the first half season....tailed off to 230.

My average is very inflated on THS so idk what to reply to that.

Id love to average over 210+ on sport..but I dont get a chance to bowl it often enough..

I also dont practice, or have a coach/mentor to develop my game further.

I average like 190 at nationals and not so proud of it...the goal would be to hit sport oil and average over 210!

203 this past season, been going up every year for 4-5 years.  honestly, i can see myself this coming season in the 210-215 range, and higher if i can figure out how to get rid of my mid-season slump i usually get into
